Finding and doing tasks when you’re low or slow

I still have a cold. Here’s looking atchoo. And as I look at my To Do list, snuffling, reaching for tissues, I am automatically ruling out a lot of things. I’d best not meet anyone just at the moment. I might not be wise to call them when I’m croaking. I can’t face anything complicated or financial just now. That kind of thing. And by chance, the website 99U has chosen this moment to suggest something.

Or maybe it’s the world choosing this moment to point out that 99U is suggesting something.

But what 99U wants me to consider is putting an energy level against each of my To Do tasks. I’ve said before in The Blank Screen book that, hand on heart, I will never spend the time assigning some kind of detail to a task that says I can do this one in my sleep but I need to be fully caffeined-up for that one. Only, I did spend an awfully long time on something approaching pointless yesterday, maybe there is something in this. Maybe.

Maybe.

Take a look at the 99U advice piece and see if it convinces you:

And I should say that it was lifehacker.com that put me on to this.
