In the new tradition of short gurgling entries, as championed by Jason Arnopp, I’m a finalist in this year’s Red Planet Pictures screenwriting contest.
I’ve said it before and I won’t half say it again now, but this is the best television writing competition I’ve ever seen.

Huzzah! Gratz, as they say in Azeroth.
Thank you!
I’m so asleep today, I’m going to wake up tomorrow and not be sure it’s true.
It’s true, I tells you! Well done, sir.
Well done!
Great to see so many bloggers through eh? Although I’m running out of ways to say congratulations now…
Congratulations!
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaay!
Michelle: the simplest ways are the best
Oli: phonetic ways are the best.
Thank you both, though it still doesn’t seem real to me.
Don’t you find rejections more real? More normal?
Congratulations, William – was this the helicopters script?
More familiar mabye…
But I like this way better!
I never doubted you.
Congratulations.
Michelle: may we all become more used to success and have to furrow our brows to remember the last time we had rejections. Okay, for me it was Tuesday, but still.
And Phill: yes. It’s now called Wasps. It looks a lot like your notes, but that’s obviously coincidence and will not feature in any contract negotiations that may or may not follow in the far future.
It might feature in the bitching I’ll do when Red Planet rejects me, but.

Thanks, Paul.
I’m just amazed I went ahead and finished the script; I was so certain it didn’t have a chance.
But you know what it’s like when you’ve got a story and you have to get it out of you, have to get it onto the page.
Hopefully that’s a good sign.
Congratualtions sir!
Thank you! I am currently envying Jason taking the afternoon off to scribble while my panic is in fact making my Radio Times work fly higher than usual. I should panic more often.
